Motorcycles
Whether you have a Harley Davidson Fatboy or a Honda street bike, some basic motorcycle detailing skills will help keep your bike looking as good as new.

Detail spray, leather conditioning, and a good old fashioned brush is typically enough for regular maintenance. However, if you're looking to give your bike a full transformation, follow our step by step guide.

Motorcycles detail like cars and trucks, just a much smaller frame to focus on.
Step 1: Gather Your Supplies
Start with the right tools: motorcycle-specific soap, microfiber cloths, a soft sponge, a bucket, a hose with a gentle nozzle, wheel cleaner, degreaser, wax, polish, and detailing brushes.
Step 2: Pre-Wash and Rinse
Park your bike in a shaded area to prevent soap from drying too quickly. Rinse the motorcycle with a low-pressure hose to remove loose dirt and debris, paying attention to crevices around the engine, wheels, and chain.
Step 3: Clean with Care
Mix motorcycle-safe soap in a bucket and use a soft sponge to gently scrub the body, focusing on painted surfaces, chrome, and plastic parts. Use detailing brushes for tight spots like around bolts and under the seat. Clean the wheels with a dedicated wheel cleaner to remove brake dust and grime.
Step 4: Rinse and Dry
Rinse thoroughly to remove all soap, ensuring no residue remains. Dry the bike with microfiber towels to prevent water spots, working from top to bottom to avoid streaks.
Step 5: Polish and Protect
Apply a motorcycle-specific polish to painted surfaces for a deep shine, using a microfiber cloth in circular motions. For chrome parts, use a metal polish to restore brilliance. Finish with a quality wax to protect the finish and add a glossy sheen that pops in photos.
Step 6: Final Touches
Clean the windshield or visor with a plastic-safe cleaner to avoid scratches. Lubricate the chain if needed, and wipe down leather or vinyl seats with a conditioner to keep them supple.
Fresh Start Pro Tips ✔For enhanced results, use a metal polish product on the pipes. ✔If a motorcycle needs to be be restored after significant wear and tear, you can use a steam cleaner to assist with cleaning the exterior body, spokes, and wheels.
